Getting around SpeedwayOS. One sign-in, one roster, one place the work lives. This page covers the front door — each module carries its own how-to, linked at the bottom.

New to SpeedwayOS? Start with Your first week.

Signing ineveryone

  1. Enter your company email on the Hub. You get a sign-in link by email — no password to remember.
  2. Open the link and you land on the Hub — what is waiting on you, across every module. When nothing is waiting, the Hub opens on the modules. The session carries across every module, so you sign in once, not once per app.
  3. The link is good for its whole window rather than dying on first open, so a mail scanner touching it doesn't burn it.
  4. The link signs in whoever opens it, for fifteen minutes, in whatever browser opens it. Treat it like a key — don't forward it. If the button lands in the wrong browser, type the six-digit code from the same email into the SpeedwayOS tab you started from.

Good to know: Sign out ends the session in the browser you're using. Lost a phone, or signed in on a shared computer? Sign out everywhere ends every session on every device at once. Both sit in the Hub's side rail once you're signed in — behind Menu on a phone, a tablet, or any window narrower than 1200 pixels.

The Hubeveryone

  1. Every module you can open, grouped: People & Meetings, Playbook & Positions, and Recognition.
  2. Today opens Teammates on what needs you now. Roster is who everyone is. Signed in, the Hub carries a side rail with the same links — behind Menu on a narrower screen. This help page has no rail; Back to the Hub takes you there.
  3. You see the modules you have standing in. A short front door isn't a broken one.
  4. In the sandbox, each card also names the host it opens, so you can tell which environment you're about to enter.

Good to know: a module missing that you think you should have is an access grant, not a bug — ask an admin.

What lives whereeveryone

  • Teammates — Today, your profile and Position Compass, Outcomes and Quarterly Focus, check-ins, reviews, Teammate Surveys, High Five, Teammate of the Month, the Roster and Org Chart, and every position description.
  • Teammates, for leaders — Coaching and the Bar, peer perspective, Insights, the position pipeline and candidates. Function leaders also propose changes to their standards there.
  • Agendas — the GLOBE Call, the Leader Call, function rooms, Speedway Leader Meetings, and the Tasks board. You see the rooms you're in.
  • Travel Team — event rosters, volunteering for a weekend away, approvals for GLOBE leaders and host GMs, Post-Event Perspective, Orange Cone, and the Bruton Smith Award.
  • Playbook — how we work across the 11 functions: the standards, and the "I need to…" situations to enter from.

Good to know: time off, pay, and benefits live in ADP, not SpeedwayOS.

Searcheveryone

  1. Once you're signed in, the search box sits on the Hub just above the module cards — under the headline when nothing is waiting on you, under the Waiting-on-you list when something is.
  2. One box searches teammates, positions, the Playbook, and Help at once. Help finds the how-to guides inside Teammates, Agendas, and Travel Team — "check-in" or "volunteer" works. You see the guides your own modules show you.
  3. Each result routes to the module that owns it, so you don't have to know which app holds what.
  4. Playbook search matches meaning, not just words — "angry fan" finds "Win Back Fans".

Honor Rolleveryone

  1. The Honor Roll card appears under Recognition once you're signed in — every award winner since 2012: Bruton Smith, Humpy Wheeler, Speedway of the Year, Acceleration.
  2. An honoree's awards also show on their own profile in the Roster.

Reporting a bugeveryone

  1. Report a bug sits at the top of every module, at the top of this page, and in the Hub's app bar once you're signed in.
  2. The report arrives knowing who sent it and exactly what page they were on — you don't have to describe where you were.
  3. Say what you expected and what happened instead. That's enough.

Your dataeveryone

  1. What SpeedwayOS collects states what's held, why, who sees it, and how long it's kept. It's readable without signing in.
  2. You can read your own record — assessments, ratings, and check-in notes about you — under Today in Teammates.
  3. Opening someone's record is itself logged. That applies to admins too.

Production and sandboxeveryone

  1. Sandbox paints a sand-coloured ground on every page — the ground is the marker to trust. This page and the Hub also wear a SANDBOX chip, and their tab titles say SANDBOX. If you see sand, you're on test data — a separate copy that production never reads.
  2. The module links on this page follow the environment you're in. If a link on this page would ever leave the sandbox, it says OPENS PROD before you click it.

Rules that hold everywhereeveryone

  1. ADP is the employment record. SpeedwayOS reads it and never writes back. Wrong data gets fixed in ADP.
  2. The roster drives everything. Your position, venue, function, and leader come from it. Wrong on screen means wrong in the roster — tell an admin.
  3. Access follows the roster. Off the roster means off every module, right away.
  4. Missing means a grant, not a bug. A room, dashboard, or committee screen you should have is a scope grant an admin sets.
  5. You can read what is written about you — except an executive's Leader Perspectives, and never who wrote a peer perspective.
  6. Private means private. A private check-in note is for its author only, admins included.
  7. Anonymous means anonymous. Surveys and Post-Event Perspective hide any group under 5, for everyone.
  8. Report it in place. Use Report a bug from the page where it happened.
